Kate Pett
Kate Pett is a founding partner of Chrysalis Consulting, a firm based in Asheville, NC, specializing in board development, fundraising and planning. Kate and her partner have developed a unique tool for planning based on analysis of indicators of organizational sustainability. In the past two years, Chrysalis projects have included capacity building for more than 100 agencies engaged in food security issues in Western North Carolina, grant writing for a variety of nonprofits, and communications planning to save local farms. Prior to her work as a consultant, Kate spent 15 years in the nonprofit and public sectors promoting community enhancement through education, collaboration, and leadership development. Kate earned her Master’s degree from the University of Michigan, where she was a Peace Corps Fellow, and her undergraduate degree at The American University.
