Megan R. Gavin

Megan R. Gavin is manager of USAID's Excelencia Project to privately managed/NGO schools in Nicaragua. She received a B.A. in Education with a focus on sociology and psychology from Boston College University and her Master's degree in International Education Policy (IEP) at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. Before coming to Nicaragua, Megan worked in Washington, D.C., first for the Unit for Social Development and Education (USDE) at the Organization of American States (OAS) and later at the American Institutes for Research (AIR). Her work focused on international data comparisons as well as projects in the field of education. Megan served two years in the Peace Corps as an educator in the department of Boaco, Nicaragua and as a consultant to World Bank in Managua.
