Simon Sadler, Ph.D
Simon Sadler, Ph.D. is Professor of Architectural and Urban History, Art History and Technocultural Studies, and Chancellor’s Fellow, at University of California, Davis, where he also currently serves as the Director of the Art History Department. Has has served as External examiner, Ph.D. Program, Graduate School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation at Columbia University in New York and as External Course Validator for the MA Histories of Art and Design, University of Central England, Birmingham. He has also served as Liason between University of Dublin and the Architectural Association of Ireland. His principal teaching is in western architecture and urban design, particularly in relation to modernization in the eighteenth to twentieth-first centuries. He is the author of Archigram: Architecture without Architecture, Non-Plan: Essays on Freedom, Participation and Change in Modern Architecture and The Situationist. City.
